SF LGBT Center Website
My role: Director of Marketing - project manager, content manager, lead writer, designers and stakeholder relationship manager, hands-on content migration
Problem: Outdated website made it difficult for community members to view and sign up with programs and services.
Process: User research: interview stakeholders and volunteers. Access content needs (multi-media and copy). Work with web designers and department heads and executive team to build a user-friendly website that mirrored the newly rebranded community center.
Solution: Created a beautiful, modern website with an easy-to-view calendar and events page with useful buttons and CTAs to make it easy for users to sign up for classes and programs, view programs and events through videos and images, and search and discover resources. Also developed a Style Guide in tandem with new site development.
Samuel Merritt University Website
My role: Associate Director of Website Communications - content manager, website content developer, writer, project manager, stakeholder relationship manager
Problem: Outdated website made it difficult for potential students to easily view our programs and to explore the student experience.
Process: User research: interview stakeholders and students. Create new pages and worked with IT to develop an interactive map. Work with IT on wireframes and design iterations. Write and develop new content.
Solution: Launched an updated website that was more dynamic and user-friendly. Created rotating banners that led to news stories that allowed for a deeper look into the universities' culture and activities. Created a "SMU Experience" section that allowed for spotlights into different departments. Overall, this was a much better experience for both potential students and current students, as the website became more informative and interactive.
